In high school, we learn about various aspects of vibration, including damping, frequency, beats, and noise, which are essential concepts in engineering applications. Let’s explore the application and use cases of vibration:

Basic

So to learn about the application we should know what is forced vibration and free vibration what is damping

  1. Free Vibration: This occurs when there are no external forces involved in the vibration. The system vibrates naturally without any external influence.
  2. Forced Vibration: In forced vibration, an external force is applied to the system, causing it to vibrate or leading to difficulties in its functioning.
  3. Damping: Damping is the opposing force or factor that stabilizes the system’s vibration and ensures proper ideal working.

Here is a very interactive video about vibration

So as a mechanical engineer the vibration study comes under maintenance of factory where motor work or basically the mechanical parts involvement where motion is observed watch the following video it explains how vibration analysis helps

So in vibration as a whole domain we must know few things

like accelorementer, frequency rate, sampling ,etc these are terms where getting use to is must and also frequency analysis such as FFT(fast fourier transform ) is a must to stay updated

As numercial method to is very hard and varys much from actual data

If you want to learn about all the terms and the way the vibration concept works

You must watch the following playlist its covers everything to get started

So what are other things we can learn about which are related to vibration
